Downloading Adobe Reader
You can now receive Guide News via email or view it from the Girlguiding Sheffield website. However you need a software programme called Adobe Reader so that you can open it. The good news is that it is completely free and once you download it, you will be able to view and print Girlguiding UK forms and, more recently, book rooms in Guide House.
1. Open up Internet Explorer and, in the address bar, type the following address: http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
2. The download page has an optional Goole Toolbar that you can download. If you do not want to download it, take the tick out of the box.

3. Once you have done that, click on the Download button:

4. The instructions on the next page tell you how to download the programme. Depending on the security settings of your Internet browser, you may see a gold bar at the top of the screen that you need to click on to allow you to download the package.

Once you have started the download, you will see a dialogue box asking you to run or save the programme. Click on Run.
The programme will install and you may see a further dialogue box asking you to close the Download Manager box. Click on this and you are ready to use Adobe Reader.
Please note: If you open a form using Adobe Reader, you can fill in the relevant sections and print it but you will not be able to save the form.
