Arts in the Outdoors - June 2005
In total, 163 Guides and Brownies
attended and
nearly as many helpers. There were
Guiders and Rangers from every part of Sheffield! There were 23 crafts on offer including: A Fairy
village, Land Art, Scarecrows, Glass Painting, Pickled People, Bean Art, Natural
cosmetics, Corn Dollies, Clay work and Jewellery making. Despite the slightly damp and unseasonably cool weather
a good time was had by all and the girls went home with rucksacks full of arts
and crafts. A big thank you goes to everyone who helped on the day including those brave souls who went up the following
day to take down the mess tents. Shirley and Nick, Janet and Giles at the OAC
were invaluable as always and tireless in their assistance before, on the day,
and afterwards.
