Returning for its eighth glorious year, the moment you have all been waiting for has arrived...Woodchip is back, and we want YOU from the 12th-14th March 2010!
Running as a free working weekend for Senior Section members of Girlguiding Sheffield, we spend a weekend helping out the wardens at the OAC for the upcoming season. Previous years have seen us relocating the mini-beast area, cleaning out the pond (wellies recommended!!), and, naturally, plenty of woodchipping!
Woodchip is run by Senior Section, for Senior Section, and we are seeking volunteers for the respective posts of QMs (because the workers require feeding, believe you me!), first aider, and an entertainment/activities leader, in addition to hundreds upon thousands of willing and enthusiastic bodies to attend!
It can be used as an opportunity to complete modules of your Camp and Holidays licences, or for completing modules of your Queen’s Guide. Or maybe you’re just looking for an excuse to have a brilliant free weekend away with some fabulous people! Any which way, we’d love to have you join us and be part of what is fast becoming a Girlguiding Sheffield institution!
